For example, before entering the classroom, we assign our first-year teachers coaches to help our new teachers refine their lesson plans and actualize their classroom and professional goals. Our schools also provide ample preparation time throughout the school year, which our teachers use to collaborate, learn, and plan with each other and our central team of curriculum specialists and academic coaches.

Green Dot California teachers and team members have a powerful seat at the table. Our staff are members of two California Teachers Association-affiliated labor unions: one for teachers and counselors and another for classified staff. Teacher and classified staff representatives sit on Green Dot California’s governing board. Our innovative collective bargaining agreements enable our staff and management to work together to create schools that support students and teachers to succeed.
