We foster a nurturing community.

We meet students where they are.

We prepare all of our students for college, leadership, and life.

We engage parents as partners.

Message from the Principal

At Ánimo Pat Brown Charter High School, we are committed to changing the landscape of public education so that every child can be successful in college, leadership, and life. We have served the Florence-Firestone neighborhood and surrounding communities for over a decade by providing free, high-quality, and college-ready education to students. We prioritize a college-going culture with our safe learning environments, skilled teachers, academic counselors, and A-G-ready coursework. Students at our school also learn how to mobilize and transform their communities through opportunities such as APB Lab. And, this year, we’re happy to move into a new state-of-the-art facility and be joined by our sister middle school, Animo Florence-Firestone.

For many years now, our school ranks in the top 10 percent of high schools in the nation and students have achieved growth in core subjects—outpacing their peers in neighboring districts.  We have accomplished this by prioritizing an interactive learning environment, rigorous coursework, college tours, and unparalleled academic guidance. The road to college starts at Ánimo Pat Brown Charter High School.
