Students Thrive Here
Ánimo Ellen Ochoa opened its doors June 2014 and is named after the first Latina Astronaut in space. AEO places a very high emphasis on the academic success and emotional well-being of all students. Our various programs challenge every student to reach their maximum potential, equipping them with the skills required to follow their unique academic pursuits and extracurricular endeavors in high school and beyond.
We foster a nurturing community.
We meet students where they are.
We prepare all of our students for college, leadership, and life.
We engage parents as partners.
Message from the Principal
The goal of the Ánimo Ellen Ochoa Charter Middle school team is to strengthen our community and work hard in making our families partners in their child’s education. This is more important now, as we are facing so many challenges. The work of transforming public education and empowering the community is not done alone. You are an important part in making this a reality for your child, and we eagerly look forward to working with you and your family. The road to college starts at AEO, and together we can assure that your child will be successful in middle school and beyond.
