Words from Our Community
""If [parents are] looking for a school that is safe, that believes in their child, and will do whatever it takes to make that sure their child will succeed, then this is the school for them."
"I've seen a huge change in my son. He found that he could not just slide along with his classes--you have to maintain a certain GPA to be on the soccer team. That was a wake up call, and I love that. To see him now study, doing homework. This is a miracle! This is wonderful. And the teachers really do care. They stay behind to really help the students."
"I graduated from Animo in 2012 I proceeded with my education at UC Santa Cruz where I majored in sociology, critic race and ethnic studies, and Latin American Latino studies."
Ánimo Inglewood Charter High School is located in a repurposed hospital building in the heart of Inglewood. It opened in 2002 after Green Dot successfully petitioned the State Department of Education to overturn Inglewood Unified School District’s refusal to grant the school a charter. The school has become a model of Green Dot success with more graduates attending UCLA than those from any other school, public or private, in the city.
